    Gong Xi Fa Cai!

    Chuc Mung Nam Moi!

Just wanted to wish you all a safe and Happy Chinese New Year! To kick it off I present to you a little tribute to one of the classics of my own childhood:

    "Big Trouble with Mama's China."

I actually finished this piece while back and I did not even realize the New Year was here already, so the timing just worked out perfectly. This illustration took me a while to do because this movie has a special place in my heart and I wanted to do it justice. I can't tell you how many times I watched this on VHS and recited every line with my brother. Sure it did not make a lot of money in the box office but hot damn was it ever so fun watching it in the theaters. That was back in the day when you actually had to wait in line to get a seat, ah...the good old days.

Well, for you fans out there I hope you enjoy this one. For those who have not seen this movie yet do yourself a favor, listen to Old Jack Burton and see it ASAP!

Also, I will have this new print available for the first time next Sat Feb. 8 from 3PM-6PM, during an artist signing at "A Little Known Shop" in Anaheim. I plan to do a live drawing demonstration during the event and will raffle it off at the end of the night so come on down. You can RSVP and find out more info by clicking HERE.

Thanks again everyone and hope to see some of you out there!
